Deven Parekh, Managing Director

Deven Parekh currently serves as a managing director with the private equity and venture capital firm, Insight Venture Partners. Headquartered in New York, Insight Venture Partners steers a capital base of nearly $3 billion, stemming strictly from software and Internet-enabled businesses. The firm is approaching its fifteenth year in existence and counts among its Executive Advisory Board members, Citigroup Chairman, Robert Rubin and U.S. President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board Chairman, Steve Friedman.

Deven Parekh is an active board member for the non-profit organization Publicolor, that reaches out to at-risk teens and promotes student collaboration with painting and color for the enhancement of their educational environment.

A graduate of The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, Deven Parekh has served in an M & A advisory capacity with The Blackstone Group, where he was also involved in principal activities. Prior to arriving at his current post, he was a Principal at the New York firm Berenson Minella & Company, serving on its M & A Committee.

The Aspen Institute awarded Deven Parekh with a Henry Crown Fellowship. The academic honor was established in memory of American industrialist and philanthropist, Henry Crown, who made his mark in Chicago in the early 2oth Century, driven by honor and integrity.

In addition to its global leadership fellowships, The Aspen Institute is actively involved in supporting seminars and policy programs, as well as participation in public conferences and events. The aim of The Aspen Institute is to provide an impartial forum that brings together individual leaders whose values and ideas may provide a stimulus to the discussion of critical societal issues.
