Jeff Barcy is leading his firm, Ridgeback Partners, with a focus on distressed residential opportunities in the U.S. market. Ridgeback Partners has been engaged in 125 residential investments, with a staff of 75 people managing several billion dollars of capital investments. Jeff is the company's founder and CEO, whose experience in investment and finance includes recently growing an opportunistic real estate opportunity fund from $75 million to nearly $1 billion of committed capital for investors at Hearthstone.
A Harvard Business School graduate, Jeff Barcy entered the investment arena on Wall Street. He moved into an investment banking position at Credit Suisse First Boston (formerly Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette) where he advanced to a Director of real estate banking role managing financing and mergers of approximately $20 billion dollars with a roster that included homebuilders and lodging and gaming companies.
He has been a guest lecturer at Berkeley College and panelist for the Wharton MBA Program. A leader in real estate investment and finance strategy, regarding the process of bidding for land, Jeff Barcy told The Wall Street Journal, "It's a big world out there."
